Children and Young People

We love being intergenerational and spending time with all ages together. But sometimes we also value time in our groups. Here is just a taste of what is on for children and young people at St Andrews. For information about activities for children and young people on Sundays see our services page

Superheroes

On the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month we have Superheroes, our group for children under 11yrs. Superheroes meets during worship and the children go to their group after the first part of the service. If it is a Holy Communion service, they start in their groups and then join everyone else for Communion. In Superheroes we make new friends while we look at Bible stories, enjoy crafts and games and just enjoy being together.

Youth Discipleship

On the second and fourth Sunday of the month 5:30pm to 7:30pm we have our youth discipleship group. We meet for the first hour to worship, look at the Bible and explore it through games, videos and discussion. We then spend the next hour playing table tennis, board games, eating pizza and just hanging out together.

Everyone gets to play

Our intergenerational board game café happens on the second Saturday of each month from 3:00pm-5:00pm. Whether you love a modern game to learn or would like a game of snakes and ladders or draughts, there will be something here for you to play. Bring along friends or come and make some new ones.

Every month there is a craft activity suitable for all ages. Sandwiches, crisps, cake and other delicious food and drinks are available during the course of the afternoon. There is no charge - this is a free event open to everyone.

Under 5yrs with additional needs

We meet weekly to provide extra support for families whose preschool children need some additional support. This is a welcoming and non-judgmental, quiet space to come and play, drink coffee and eat cake, and find a listening ear if you need it. CLICK FOR MORE INFORMATION
