St Andrews 2.0 Project

St Andrews 2.0 is a new project for St Andrew's Methodist Church which involves two phases:

  1. To continue worshipping here and serving the local community, we urgently need to replace the roof. At a cost of around £200,000, the first phase of our project will involve seeking donations, fundraising and applying for grants.

   2. Through a community audit, prayer and discussion, phase             two involves looking to the future. Where is God calling us to         serve in our local community? This phase will focus on                   mission and growth, although it may also involve additional           work on the building depending on what needs are                         identified.

Past fund raising

2017 - early 2020 St Andrew's began fundraising for the renewal fund and looking at options for redevelopment. We raised the following:

     £34,372 in donations

     £7,584 from Coffee Stop

     £4,687 in fundraising

With the addition of Gift Aid, we raised a total of £52,822.

We spent:

£22,333 in Architect and Surveyors fees

£7,182 on temporary roof repairs and fire doors in the sanctuary

£180 on related expenses - a total expenditure of £29,695.

Unfortunately, the landscape changed following Covid and we were unable to continue with our redevelopment plans.
