ST ANDREW'S METHODIST CHURCH

One Achord Choir
Who we are

One Achord is the special name we give to our choir at St. Andrews Methodist Church.
We came together over fifteen years ago after we had performed two or three one off Christian Musicals, including 'While Shepherds Watched' by Roger Jones, and 'Here and Now' by Paul Field.
We are not a choir who sit in the choir stalls every Sunday singing introits and anthems but we meet once a week and learn new songs of all kinds, mainly in 4 part harmony. Our repertoire includes both sacred and secular music, but our main aim is
to bring the Christian message of God's love for the world to those who listen to us.
Why not join us
We welcome all ages and we meet on a Thursday evening in our church from 7.30-9.00pm. Over the past years we have settled into a pattern of giving a Summer Concert at our own church in June or July and then a special Presentation of the Nativity, two
weeks or so before Christmas. In between we visit other places, with a varied programme of music and the spoken word. Invitations over the years have come from a variety of churches including Romsey, Hedge End, Southampton, Winchester, Aylesford and Broadstone in Dorset.
We are always happy to welcome new members, so pay us a visit sometime if you are interested to find out more about us.
