Sunday Worship

Sundays, 10:30am

We worship together and everyone is welcome to come and join us. Each week we sing hymns or modern worship songs, pray, hear readings from the Bible and think about what God might be saying through them. The service will be led by either a minister or local preacher, but many other people take part, through welcoming, music, leading readings or prayers, helping with the multimedia, leading the children’s and youth work or livestreaming the service.

After the service finishes there is tea and coffee, and a chance to chat to friends and meet new people. Each week at St Andrew's is different, but we do follow a pattern in our worship.

Holy Communion

One Sunday a month

One Sunday a month we share in Holy Communion together as part of our morning worship.

In this service we share bread and wine (gluten free and non-alcoholic) as we remember Jesus’ death for us and his resurrection. We celebrate the fact that Jesus is alive and with us and that we can know our sins are forgiven and a new relationship with God through him.

We may not all fully understand but we believe that God welcomes us and accepts us as we are. All are welcome!

Children and Young People

Sundays

For services on the second and fourth Sundays of the month, children aged 11 years and under begin in the service with us for the first 15 minutes or so, before going out to their group, Superheroes, for the rest of the morning worship. When we celebrate Holy Communion, they will begin in their group so that they can join us for Communion later in the service. Young people older than 11 years join Sunday services but have their own youth discipleship group from 5:30pm to 7:30pm on the second and fourth Sunday of the month. Find out more about our children and young people.

First and third Sundays of the month

These services are intergenerational – we enjoy spending time together as all ages as we worship God. During the sermon/talk, there is the option to complete a craft activity, especially popular with our younger congregation! The craft table share what they have made after the sermon.

Prayer and Praise

First Sunday of the month, 6pm

We meet for a time of reflection, prayer and praise. The evening is led by different people each month. You can join in as much or as little as you wish.
