ST ANDREW'S METHODIST CHURCH
Children and Young People
We love being intergenerational and spending time with all ages together. But sometimes we also value time in our groups. Here is just a taste of what is on for children and young people at St Andrew's. For more information about activities for children and young people on Sundays, see our Sunday Services page.
Superheroes
On the second and fourth Sunday of each month, we have Superheroes, our group for children under 11 years. Superheroes meets during worship, and the children go to their group after the first part of the service. If it is a Holy Communion service, they start in their groups and then join everyone else for Communion. In Superheroes we make new friends while looking at Bible stories, doing crafts, playing games and just enjoying being together.
Youth Discipleship
On the second and fourth Sunday of the month from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, we have our Youth Discipleship group. We meet for the first hour to worship, look at the Bible and explore it through games, videos and discussion. We then spend the next hour playing table tennis and board games, eating pizza and just hanging out together.
Board @ Church
Our intergenerational board game café happens on the second Saturday of each month from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. Whether you love learning modern games or would like a classic game of snakes and ladders or draughts, there will be something here for you to play. Bring along friends or come and make some new ones.
Every month there is a craft activity suitable for all ages. Sandwiches, crisps, cake and other delicious food and drinks are available during the course of the afternoon. There is no charge – this is a free event open to everyone. Donations welcome.
